Today after work, Adam and Tristan spent some time building towers and bridges out of blocks. Tristan spent a serious amount of time crashing down the towers and bridges. He is just at the beginning stages of building rather than smashing. I am afraid though - I think crashing and smashing with this child is going to win out --for a long time into the future.
Yes, he is losing his pants in this picture! :)

Today Was a Busy Day
Tristan and I were able to spend two full days together this weekend. Adam worked overnights so while he was sleeping downstairs we played with new Christmas toys and ate snacks.
Feeding Apple from the high chair is one of Tristan's favorite hobbies.
They are becoming best friends...
Climbing in and out of the toy basket is also lots of fun!
Finally time to take a nap. We were both tired.

A Picture Perfect Christmas...Probably Not
I setup my Christmas tree early this year so I would have plenty of time to take lots of pictures with Tristan around the tree. I bought him Christmas pajamas and a little rocking chair - I had a mind full of visions which included beautiful, holiday photos. Things do not always work the way you plan.
Tristan had the bottom half of the tree completely undecorated the same day I put it up and the ornaments were packed away the next day because I was tired of picking them up. The garland was even unwound from the tree as high as he could reach.
I did get a couple of photos of him in front of the tree but these were practice shots as I was getting ready for another photo session and wanted to make sure my settings were correct. Of course he was wearing an obnoxiously colored orange shirt, so I decided to turn them to black and white.

My partially undecorated tree.
Sometimes or most of the time he is on-the-go and photos often get blurry.

Lexie and Tristan
Do you believe we were actually able to get Lexie and Tristan to sit still long enough to take a couple of pictures? Here they are as proof!
Lexie and Santa
Andy and Kelly came to visit us in early December. We went to Bentleyville to see the lights and stood in a long, long line of other children and parents all wanting to meet Santa!
Here it was finally Lexie's turn:
